This existing 2 storey detached, corner property, in Whitburn near Sunderland, had 1 major positive feature, a fantastic beach front position. We remodelled the entire house, and gardens to take advantage of its prime location. We moved the entrance away from the side street and re-instated it back onto the front elevation, we added a new gable with generous glazed balconies and a 3rd floor, so that all bedrooms and living spaces could be afforded sea views. The existing free standing garage was demolished, doubling the rear garden space, for this 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom contemporary family home. The palette of crisp render, hand made brick, weather boarding and stainless steel reflect its coastal location and immediate neighbours.
