Gap Site House
Feasibility study for a 2 bedroomed house for a keen surfer, on a gap site, in Tynemouth, North Tyneside, only 3.8m wide. Particular emphasis was on surfboard storage, including longboards, which dictated the ceiling height. A wet room with wet suit drying area was also required as well as an outdoor eating/sitting area. We kept the living/dining areas of equal size, and separated by a surprisingly spacious galley kitchen, so that they could be swapped around if required.
